Winter Training Information

Lakes Athletics is proud to offer 3 Winter Training sessions at On The Dunes starting in January. The training sessions are a direct result from feedback we have heard from the players and parents. Winter is long and cold, and adding a few winter training sessions is a great way to dust off that bat and glove and break a sweat.

Training Details

  • SPACE IS LIMITED - maximum of 25 players per session
  • Training will include multiple drills including hitting, throwing, and fielding stations for players
  • Players of all skill and age levels welcome
  • Professional lead by On The Dunes staff member
  • Excellent opportunity for managers and assistants to pick up drills for their own practices
  • Sessions are 90 minutes, check-in begins at 6:15pm and the session start at 6:30pm and ends at 8:00pm

Winter Training Session Dates and Times

  • Players should have baseball pants, protective cup, jersey, and gloves -- helmets, bats, and rubber cleats optional)
  • Time: Checkin @ 6:15pm, session runs from 6:30pm-8:00pm
  • Location: On The Dunes 2055 Haggerty Rd, Commerce Charter Twp, MI 48390 
  • Monday, January 13th 6:30pm - 8:00pm
  • Monday, January 27th 6:30pm - 8:00pm
  • Monday, March 2nd 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Winter Training Is Not Just For Players

Parents and coaches are encouraged to attend. Practice drills and practice management can be learned by adults to practice at home, or in the spring season.

 

 Levi Larmour - Professional Trainer

Levi Larmour graduated high school in 2012 in Canada, and was subsequently recruited by Mesa Community College in Arizona, where he spent his freshman and sophomore years. While at Mesa CC he won a NJCAA National Championship, and was awarded a Gold Glove for his contribution to the World Series win in Enid Oklahoma.  Levi continued his varsity career, transferring into Madonna University for his junior and senior years.  While in Arizona, he played shortstop and first base, and third base at Madonna.  Levi swung in the heart of the lineup and earned a starting position every season for four years.
