House - Spring 2026 - Spring 2026

Join us for what promises to be one of the best spring seasons in Lakes history next spring!

Teams will be assigned in late March and practices will begin in early April. Practice dates and times are at the discretion of the team's coach/manager. All players registered will receive discounts on offseason and winter clinics and also be invited to our complimentary preseason spring kickoff event at D-Bat (date TBD).

Games begin in mid-April.  There will be 2 games per week. Our spring season also includes an All-Star event (at most levels), team picture day (digital images for purchase), and postseason (7U and up). 

5U, 6U and 7U will typically play games Friday evenings AND Saturdays; 8U will play primarily Wednesday or Friday evenings and Saturdays, 10U and 12U will play primarily on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays, and we expect 14U/HS level will play Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays plus Saturdays.* 

Games will be primarily at Hickory Glen Park but could be at other fields including Shepherd of the Lakes Church Field, Long Field and Janowski Park. Select levels may partner with other local leagues so teams could have a couple of 'away' games at their fields.

There will be NO games over the Memorial Day weekend.

Registration includes jersey and Lakes hat. We will have pants and sweatshirts available in our store (not at the time of registration). Pants can also be obtained during our Dick's Sporting Goods and Dunham's Sports 20% off weekends (coupon to be provided at a later time).

Lakes does not have any 50/50 drawings or raffle fees. Only additional charges on top of league fees are $40 buyouts if parents choose not to volunteer. Volunteer positions include Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Field Prep, Scorekeeper (7U and up only), Team Parent (5U and 6U only). Head coaches receive discounts on offseason clinics and future seasons when they repeat as coaches.

2026 Lakes Spring Training - Winter II 2026

Our popular Lakes Spring Training clinics are designed to get your young ballplayer ready for the upcoming season. NEW for 2026-Lakes has three different offerings:

Lakes Spring Training: Fundamentals Clinics at On the Dunes: 3:30-5PM Saturdays for 5U to 8U Players
Lakes Spring Training: Advanced Concepts at On the Dunes: 6:30-8 PM Saturdays for 7U to 12U Players 

Lakes "Extended" Spring Training Sunday with Walled Lake Central Baseball: Sunday, March 22nd* from 12 Noon to 4 PM (open to players of all ages).
*The 3/22 clinic will be held outside weather permitting

Registrations can be for packages or for individual sessions! Each week's registration* also comes with a Lakes collectible dri-fit style t-shirt that is perfect for wearing to practices during the upcoming Lakes season! The OTD clinics are station-based clinics run by Lakes dedicated volunteer coaches including some of your children's favorite coaches.

House - Summer 2026 - Summer 2026

2026 Lakes Summer Baseball

NEW for 2026- This year we'll offer 12U full baseball in addition to 5U, 6U, 7U, 8U and 10U.

Practices will begin in late June or the first week in July (at coach's discretion) and games will begin Wednesday, July 8th. Games will be played on Monday and Wednesday evenings with Thursday being used as a rain date. No weekend games will be played and weekend practices are not typically scheduled so families can enjoy summer weekends. The summer season will include nine games. Games will primarily be at Hickory Glen Park but some games could be at Janowski Park or Maple Glen Park. Practices could be at Hickory Glen Park, Janowski Park, Clara Miller Park, Long Field or Shepherd of the Lakes Field. 

Our summer season does not include playoffs but will include a post-season All-Star Spectacular event on Friday, August 7th that will be a highlight and cap of the summer season.

Your registration provides hats and jersey only. We will NOT be supplying pants with registration. We will have pants and sweatshirts available in our spiritwear store. You can also purchase pants during our Dunham's 20% off discount weekend prior to the start of the season.

13U/14U/15U Summer Instructional Academy

Some of our upper level 14/16U coaches will conduct a station-based instructional academy for players 13-16 who are looking to improve over the summer in advance of joining a Lakes 14U fall house team. The academy will occur over six dates on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Monday, July 13th.

2026 Lakes Player Development Clinics - Winter I 2026

Join coach Mark Avery for these four-week player development clinics designed to take your child's skill set to the next level. Coach Avery played collegiate baseball for Wayne State University for four years and earned an opportunity to be signed by the Detroit Tigers in 1993 as a professional baseball player. His minor league career spanned three years. Mark has coached nearly 30 years.

Hitting Clinics
Session 1: Saturdays 1/10, 1/17, 1/31 and 2/7 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM (**1/24 postponed -venue closure)
Session 2: Saturdays 2/21, 2/28, 3/7 and 3/14 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM

Pitching Clinics
Session 1: Saturdays 1/10, 1/17, 1/31 and 2/7 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM (**1/24 postponed -venue closure)
Session 2: Saturdays 2/21, 2/28, 3/7 and 3/14 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM

Clinics will occur at the north dome at the Oakland Yard in Waterford. Age groups 8-12**. Open to players enrolled in a Lakes 2026 program only (house or LCB Legends). Each four-week clinic is $110 ($120 for late registration). Registration does NOT come with a t-shirt.

Lakes Baseball Summer Camp powered by Avery Baseball - Summer I 2026

Join professional coach Mark Avery and his team as Lakes Baseball Summer Camp returns to Hickory Glen Park for summer 2026. Coach Avery, training baseball players at all levels for over 30 years, played professional baseball and served as the Detroit Tigers bullpen catcher. Mark was also a minor league all-star twice and has coached several players who have been drafted by professional baseball teams and received collegiate scholarships. He also led the popular Player Development Clinics for Lakes this past winter. 

This camp will run from 9 AM to 3 PM on the Hickory Glen fields two separate weeks - June 15-18 and August 17-20.

The schedule daily will be as follows:

- 9 AM to 12 Noon - Basic skills, baserunning, all positions

- 12 - 12:30 PM - LUNCH

- 12:30 to 3 PM - Fundamentals of games, techniques of hitting

Campers will need to bring sack lunch, fielders glove, bats, batting gloves, helmets, cleats, water bottle and sunscreen. Catchers gear if needed. Plan to get dozens of swings and field tons of ground balls. 

This camp is open to players ages 7 through 12 (age as of first day of camp).
**Exceptions to the age requirement can be made for players enrolled in Lakes' 7U or 8U summer or fall baseball program by contacting Lakes directly at registration@lakesathletics.org. 

Registration fee: $260 (regular) $265 (late). Camp t-shirts are available for $20 and will be distributed the morning of the first day.

*No camp on Fridays unless needed as rain date.
