Lakes Baseball Summer Camp with Coach Mark Avery - Summer 2025

ANOTHER NEW ADDITION FOR 2025! Join professional coach Mark Avery and his team for the first ever Lakes Baseball Summer Camp at Hickory Glen Park. Coach Avery, training baseball players at all levels for over 30 years, played professional baseball and served as the Detroit Tigers bullpen catcher. Mark was also a minor league all-star twice and has coached several players who have been drafted by professional baseball teams and received collegiate scholarships. He also led the popular Player Development Clinics for Lakes this past winter. 

This camp will run from 9 AM to 3 PM June 23rd to 26th on the Hickory Glen fields. The schedule daily will be as follows:

- 9 AM to 12 Noon - Basic skills, baserunning, all positions

- 12 Noon to 12:30 - LUNCH

- 12:30 to 3 PM - Fundamentals of games, techniques of hitting

Campers will need to bring sack lunch, fielders glove, bats, batting gloves, helmets, cleats, water bottle and sunscreen. Catchers gear if needed. Plan to get dozens of swings and field tons of ground balls. 

This camp is open to players ages 7 through 12 (age as of June 23rd, first day of camp).
**Exceptions to the age requirement can be made for players enrolled in Lakes' 7U or 8U summer baseball program by contacting Lakes directly at registration@lakesathletics.org. 

Registration fee: $260 (regular) $265 (late)

*No camp on Friday, June 27th unless needed as rain date.
